Dear Vallivue Families,

As we enter the final month of the school year, we ask that you take a moment to learn about a few logistics for picking up belongings, returning items, key reminders, and a few updates.

Elementary Supply Pick Up and Returns

Families may pick up student belongings, return school supplies, and pick up learning packets on Monday, May 4.

Please watch for specific information from your child’s school regarding the hours and procedures for returning school items (such as library books) and picking up your belongings.

Secondary Supply Pick Up and Returns

12th graders will be able to return school items (such as library and classroom books) and pick up belongings on May 19th from 3 - 7 PM.

Students from the 6th grade to the 11th grade will be able to return school items and pick up belongings on May 21st from 3 - 7 PM and May 22nd from 8 AM - 12 PM.

Athletic Equipment Returns

High School students can return athletic equipment from May 4th - 8th. Each high school will provide details for hours and locations.

Device Drop Off Starting in May

As we near the last week of school (May 18 – 22), we will need any students that have been issued a Vallivue technology device to return them to the building where they received them. We will provide more detailed information for returning the Chromebooks and iPads in the coming weeks.

Please remember to include the charging cables when returning the units to the buildings as this is something that is often overlooked.  Many of the devices returned will be needed for our Summer School program that will begin a week after the end of the regular school session.

Graduation Update

Graduation ceremonies have been rescheduled for Monday, June 29, at the Ford Idaho Center. More information to come as times and details are finalized in the coming weeks.

Summer School Reminder

Summer school will be online this year starting June 1st and ending on July 10th.

High School students needing credit recovery must complete and submit this Summer School Survey. It is very short and easy to submit. Once you submit the survey, your counselor will sign you up for summer school.

Middle school students will have until May 5th to submit late work that was not completed prior to March 17th in order to improve grades. After May 5th, middle school counselors will begin reaching out to families who have children needing summer school in order to promote to the next grade level. Students, please take advantage of this time to communicate with your teachers and bring your grades up!

Technology Reminders

Please remember that the Vallivue Technology Department is available to assist you with any issues you may be experiencing with applications or devices.  You can reach a technician Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM by calling 208-453-4600 or emailing [email protected].

Visit this document for details for signal strength at each school  location. Input the following access information for connectivity for personal devices:

Wireless Name: VSD-HotSpot

Password: homework

Vallivue devices will connect automatically to the parking lot WiFi so there is no need to connect to an access point and provide a password.

Sincerely,

District Admin Team
